ESG & Sustainability

The business case for sustainability is the business itself.

We export to markets that increasingly require certified-sustainable supply chains. We grow because our farmer partners grow with us. Our ESG framework is therefore not a programme — it is the operating model.

Our Framework

Three pillars.
Measured every quarter.

Each pillar carries quantified targets, audited annually under an internal protocol benchmarked to GRI Standards and SASB indicators for the packaged-food industry.

Environmental

Resource Stewardship

Water-positive operations by FY27 through rainwater harvesting and condensate recovery. Solar coverage targeted at 60% of grid load. Zero-waste-to-landfill across packaging and processing waste streams.

Social

People & Partners

2,400+ farmer partners across 12 states, contracted on multi-year terms with assured offtake. 38% women in our workforce. Quarterly community health camps in Malur and surrounding villages.

Governance

Trust & Transparency

Independent-majority board, audit committee chaired by an independent director, Big-Four statutory audit, whistleblower mechanism with anonymous channel, and quarterly ESG disclosures from FY26.

Farmer Partnerships

Direct, multi-year contracts
at a transparent floor price.

Our farmer programme is the single most important moat in our business. We contract directly with 2,400+ growers in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra — bypassing the layered intermediation that erodes farmer income and dilutes traceability.

Each partner receives an agronomy bundle: certified seed, input financing, on-farm advisory, and a contracted floor price. In return, Quessentials gets first right of refusal on the harvest — and a chain-of-custody record that travels with every kilogram to the buyer.

Emissions

Net-zero Scope 1+2 by FY30. Baseline established FY24; reduction roadmap with annual milestones.

Community Investment
"The factory cannot prosper if the village around it does not. Every rupee we spend on schools, on health, on women-led farmer collectives — comes back to us as resilience."
